Main topic: Why I Would Work, Even if I Didn’t Have To.

Five reasons I would still work:

    • Self-esteem- There is power in knowing who you are and the satisfaction of knowing that you have the power to complete, to grow, to become more and to get better.
    •  Mental stimulation- Work gives you opportunities to use your mental problem solving skills.
    •  Human interaction- Work can be very social.
    • Sense of accomplishment- When I have a goal to accomplish I feel a sense of pride.
    • Enjoyment- Work can be fun.

Quote of the week: “If you were airlifted to the summit, would the moment feel as rewarding? If we enjoy the activities needed in working for our goals, many hours and years of pleasure are provided, whereas reaching summits provides only the occasional short-term high. Happiness is a process, not a place, so continue to set goals that you enjoy working toward.” -Ed Diener
