Inspiration: the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative
From Wikipedia- Inspiration (from the Latin inspirare, meaning “to breathe into”)
Motivation:
External Short term Selfish Competitive Can be negative Motivation pushes |
Inspiration:
Internal Adaptive Enduring Collaborative Excitement and immediate action Inspiration pulls |
Leaders inspire- but how? People are intrinsically motivated-
- Inspiring people is an inside out approach
- Is motivation the first step and then inspiration?
- Motivation focuses on how- inspiration focuses on who
- Motivation creates energy- inspiration gives that energy direction
- Connection and passion- your energy inspires others…modeling
